Chad Farran

Chad Farran's interest in soundtrack work started after graduation from the Film and Television Production department at San Diego State University.

Over the past few years Chad Farran has been involved in the production of music for the popular surf/travel show On Surfari that airs domestically on FOX network’s Fuel TV, and internationally on National Geographic. Chad has managed to capture the essence of foreign countries that the show travels to by studying the traditions and instruments from each place, incorporating them into musical pieces, and creating a contemporary and refreshing soundtrack. Chad's work has also been featured on the recent feature film Skid Marks, and many feature length surf films including Walking on Water, Shelter, and Thicker Than Water.

Over the years Farran's catalog of music has grown into a large compilation with a range of styles from downtempo electronic, to upbeat dance, and acoustic. All tracks are available for licensing for TV and Film projects.

In 2006 Farran released a CD from the original compositions he had written as a singer/songwriter. The CD, entitled Another Ride, was nominated for a 2007 San Diego Music Award.

In 2008 Farran's CD, On Surfari Sessions Vol1 was nomimated for Best World Fusion in the Independent Music Awards.

In 2009, On Surfari Sessions Vol1 was nomimated for Best Local Recording at the San Diego Music Awards..
